i make my day

Posted in Brisbane Designers by brisbane on May 13, 2011

This is such a cool idea! ‘I make. you wear it.’ started in August 2010 when Brisbane gal Rachel Burke made a dress every Saturday night for 20 consecutive weeks. Through this she raised over $5,000 for the NAPCAN charity. This year, Rachel has set herself a new challenge: ‘i make my day’. This new project will see her testing her skills and making a dress, from scratch, EVERY SINGLE DAY for an entire year (from 29 April 2011 to 29 April 2012)! Rachel aims to raise money for the Starlight Foundation, an incredibly worthy charity that dedicates its time to improving the lives of seriously ill kids.

Go Rachel!

Make sure you check out her website that showcases her incrediable journey, every day … www.imakeyouwearit.com
