Day three of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival saw some of our best local talent showcase their latest collections. One of our favourites is Brisbane’s Neon Heartache, with a range featuring edgy designs in a muted colour palette -we want so many of these innovative pieces! Lilya produced yet another totally wearable collection that will see many gals through the warmer months (featuring great beach inspired jewellery by coast label Cool Baby Cool). We couldn’t go past Alexandra Harper’s amazing creations – perfect headware for the upcoming races. And finally we just have to mention Miss Unkon with it’s sweet-as-pie range as part of beginningboutique’s parade.

Gail Sorronda Autumn/Winter 2010 – Black Chalk

One of Brisbane’s most innovative young fashion designers, Gail Sorronda, will showcase her Spring/Summer collection at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week this Thursday 6 May at 9.30pm. Inspired by growing concerns such as freedom of expression and information censorship – the collection will illustrate that “Fashion shouldn’t just be another opiate for the masses”. We can’t wait to see it!

The Autumn/Winter collection ‘Black Chalk’ is in store now at Bessie Head.
