Brisbane label AKKO has just released this sneak peak of its upcoming autumn/winter range ‘Sliding Doors’. Featuring striking silk blazers, dresses, bodysuits and pants in a blue, purple and neutral colour palette, we predict the collection will be a hit for the upcoming Brisbane winter. To get your hands on AKKO head into Denim Co at South Bank or The Tribune at Fortitude Valley. To see more images from the Sliding Doors collection visit the AKKO facebook page here.
Up-and-coming Brisbane fashion designer Alexandra Ovijach invited us along to the ‘In Soft Focus’ Spring/Summer 2010 shoot for her label – akko. We were lucky enough to get a behind-the-scenes look of the range that uses soft fabrics combined with pastels and buttery nude hues, resulting in effortless chic pieces. Alexandra has played with shapes, contrasting textured fabrics and draping to give light and dimension to each piece. From super sharp blazers with shoulder detailing, to romantic ruffled dresses, the collection is contemporary dressing with timeless appeal.
You can get your hands on Akko’s current range at the South Bank Young Designer Markets. Stay tuned for details on when and where you can purchase the ‘In Soft Focus’ collection.
