blanc + delta – autumn winter 2010
blanc + delta – winner of the Follow the Fashion competition – will release its autumn/winter 2010 collection ‘Beyond the dark night’on 5 February.
Representing a shift into the darkness after last season’s soft and feminine ‘Into the twilight’ collection, the new range is dark and moody, featuring a strong colour palette and heavy winter fabrications. Remaining true to the blanc + delta style, the collection features soft intricate details of ruffles, frills and pleats whilst pushing the limits of texture with metal lace, black soft velvet, velvet, metallic jacquards and soft silk georgettes.
The collection will be available in-store at the blanc + delta boutique, Broadway on the Mall.

blanc + delta store opening
Follow the Fashion competition winner blanc + delta officially opened the doors to its Broadway on the Mall store on December 1 – the store the label has won with 6 months rent-free! Last night vip guests were treated to champagne and a fashion parade to celebrate the opening.
The store is simple and chic with white walls and white furniture, including a welcoming couch and rug, contrasted with black carpet. Located on level 1 of Broadway on the Mall and just across from popular boutiques Bessie Head, Dirtbox, City Dweller and Bessie Head Black, the store further enhances the centre as a hub for fashion-forward boutiques and labels.
The blanc + delta spring/summer collection ‘Into the Twilight’ features silk garments with intricate detailing in a soft colour palette of silver-moon, apricot and peach. And it’s in store now!

“Into the twilight” collection is set amidst a mid-summers dream. A soft romantic colour palette is featured in silver-moon, apricot and peach for twilight and black for Midnight. Featuring exquisite old-world fabrications and soft delicate shapes, the collection makes reference to Edwardian femininity. From white plush velvet and silver-metal jacquard to soft silk satin, georgette and organza each piece is luxurious and textured.
To spice up the silhouette and for a refreshing change, space-age inspiration is added to the mix… Metal hardware features harden up the pieces with zips and metal studs. Straight-lined panel dresses with square angled sleeves are featured with contrasting panels of velvet and jacquard. Frills and pleats in different sizes are intricately placed along seams and panels for fine detail and bring a couture feel to the collection.”
